It's most important when you have commercial relations.

Among the things that you don’t have to forget in Arabic culture there is that of coffee. Coffee is the hospitality symbol par excellence. To offer coffee is how to say to the guest “you are welcome, we are glad to see you and to chat with you”.

The most important rule is that you mustn’t offer the coffee as soon as your guest arrives. You have to offer first a sweet or some fruit, and then the coffee that remains compulsory except if the guest has problems of health with coffee. However it’s understood that once you offer the coffee, your guest can say goodbye ensuring to himself and to the host that the tradition has been respected, and the hospitality always enjoys of its importance.

There are others shades about this famous Arabic coffee, but we will talk the next time...

Arabic coffee

You will offer Arabic coffee in coffee cups, and you prepare it in a coffee maker, put the wanted quantity of  water and boil .

After, put the coffee finely ground in the proportion of a teaspoon every small cup of water, and you will boil again for about 3 minutes. Then pour the coffee in the cups and serve it.

When you drink an Arabic coffee you will sip it slowly, little by little it will cool down. In the bottom of your cup you will find dense coffee dregs. To give more glamour and solemnity to the custom, turn the cup upside down on the saucer and let it for a couple of minutes in this way. Take again the cup and find that in the bottom there are many lines of coffee that seem interlacing paths. These paths can be used to read the future: a journey, a fortune, a lover con be hidden in the these paths, and only a skillful Arabic woman can disclose these secrets.

And so, in this way ends the custom of drink Arabic coffee, with a hope, that will be deleted when we will take coffee again elsewhere, new coffee cups, new interlacing paths.

NOTE: coffee lines depend on the quantity of coffee in relation to the quantity of water in the coffee maker.
